Sunday, October 11 from 2 pm - 6 pm

Local musicians from all over the city will come together in Logan Square to perform on three different front porches in the neighborhood. As you walk from one porch to another, you will get a tour of historic places, pretty outdoor spaces, restaurants, and cool shops that help create the environment of Logan Square. Come to meet fellow music lovers, and enjoy the inclusive, homegrown experience of gathering on a front porch to listen to music and share stories.

How is the City your studio?

This event will give a tour of Logan Square, while creating feelings of spontaneity with pop up concerts on different front porches in the neighborhood. The lineup will consist of five artists from a variety of genres, who come from different parts of the city. Front porches are raised and similar to a stage, showing how this structure in the city is a place for performance. While it resembles a stage, it differs in that performing on a front porch creates a more inclusive environment with the audience, artist, and outdoor/neighborhood atmosphere working together to create a unique, homegrown music experience. An outdoor concert allows for the sounds of the city to influence the artist’s music, adding to the unique experience of having a neighborhood and the artist’s performance working together.
